The little guy who peers at me from under the chair is not long for this world.  I have studied these matters, and in years past, I’ve invented an arsenal for taking care of these critters.

This arsenal has never been used – just invented in case it is needed.

The first weapon is a noose. I’ve tied a length of string to the back of the refrigerator so that half a noose is lying on the floor.  When the cockroach runs back there, he’ll run his head right into the noose, and a slip knot will get tighter as he tries to run.

I’ll check the noose tomorrow, unless I hear the cockroach’s screams tonight.

Today, I went to the beach.  No thoughts of anything disturbed a harmonious adventure to the beach.  I needed to clear my mind, and I think the Mediterranean helped.

It is still quiet in Sderot. And now it is time to say good night.
